WLAN coverage for 250 conference rooms and around 45,000 people
Aeroaccess has successfully implemented a WLAN solution at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore.
The German IT system house equipped the hotel's five-storey exhibition and conference center with a wireless LAN installation based on the latest standards. The 250 meeting rooms, which offer space for up to 45,000 participants, now have high-performance wireless connections. Participants can log into their own company networks securely and directly via a protected connection.
Via VPN into the company network
The entire installation is based on the latest WLAN standard, which enables an increased transmission rate in the gigabit range thanks to wider transmission channels. To cover the exhibition and conference center, the aeroaccess team installed access points (APs) in the halls, offices and meeting rooms. These APs establish a secure VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection to the data center of the respective company via dedicated Internet lines. There, the data traffic is decrypted and forwarded to the company network.
