Successful WLAN installation by aeroaccess in the "So Ouest" shopping center in Paris
Paris - In the immediate vicinity of the Eiffel Tower, the Parisian shopping center "So Ouest" invites you to shop and enjoy. The impressive building complex houses 102 stores, a supermarket, six restaurants and a cinema. There is also a 22-storey business center attached, which is equipped with the latest technology. The latest addition is now the WLAN installation, which was carried out by the system house aeroaccess from Unterföhring. This mobile network is the fifth Wi-Fi standard 802.11ac, also known as 5G Wi-Fi with gigabit speeds.
Mobile analysis with tablet: insights into the future of retail
To determine the optimal placement of the access points, the aeroaccess team used the OptiView XG from partner Fluke Networks for WiFi and spectrum analysis. With this portable tablet, the employees were able to move around the building and record, analyze and solve connection and application problems throughout the network on the move.
"With such demanding tasks, the majority of the project consists of precise planning and analysis on site," explains Thomas Rödel, Managing Director of aeroaccess GmbH. "Our experience and the analyses with the Fluke OptiView XG ultimately created the optimum conditions for the installation of a high-performance wireless network that achieves gigabit speeds for smooth operation."
